Insurance in the United States is a trillion dollar industry, playing a role in nearly every other industry on the planet. It is an integral part of our society and economy, which is why there is a great need for a modernization of the framework and processes. Currently, there is no efficient and effective method for capturing, verifying, and processing insurance that is consistent with the technological development of the rest of our society. The in-place traditional methods hold several problems, robbing companies and policy holders of their time, money, and accuracy.

Denied claims are very common in this industry, and they are far more costly than many are aware of. For example, health insurance denied claims equal over $262 billion annually. In addition, 27% of all denied claims in this sector, equating to over $70 billion, result from errors at patient registration during insurance processing. To put this into perspective, this $71 billion is 1/60 of all healthcare spending in the United States, and is more than the annual Medicaid expenditures in nearly all of the US states. These numbers more than illustrate the need for improvements in order to save money and valuable assets.

There are several contributors to these shortcomings of the industry, all pointing back to the general limitations of the traditional methods we currently rely on. Most existing OCR solutions to insurance processing cannot identify insurance information that is not printed on a physical insurance card. This excludes the ability to process any digital cards, which have become the norm in this digital age. More and more patients are downloading their cards online for ease of use, which eliminates the ability for scanning and processing with technology. In addition, some providers like Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Medicare do not even print payer IDs on cards, which means that human intervention is then required. Not only is this inconvenient for busy providers, but it also requires highly trained individuals to be put to work. This expertise, once obtained, is slower than the capabilities of technology, and leaves more room for potential error.

Traditional insurance capture is prone to error due to the large amount of human intervention that is required to complete the process. For example, 19.3% is the current average error rate among all health insurance in the United States. When put into the perspective of the sheer volume of insurance plan holders in the country, this percentage can be seen as detrimental. On top of these limitations, there is also the problem of locality that plagues many insurance companies. Many large providers have state, local, and ZIP claim processes that require one to select a specific locality. This process requires a knowledge of several pieces of information that may be difficult to obtain. When one fails to properly identify and provide this information, a denied claim is likely, costing the holder and company time and money.

Without technology, there is no way to completely eliminate pitfalls like misidentification, incorrect data entry, or any inaccuracies throughout the process. It is for these reasons that experts are working on a new and improved way to carry out these processes. An AI-powered solution is in the works, processing insurance like a human without the chance for error. The new technology is an insurance card reading artificial intelligence model that is trained on thousands of insurance payers and hundreds of thousands of plan types. This works in tandem with advanced algorithms that validate information and important details in less than seconds. This program would be able to identify plan details as well as pharmacy insurance details in real time, making this the most advanced model of its kind.

The benefits speak for themselves, as what traditional methods could do in minutes, AI can do in seconds. In addition, every reworked claim due to errors costs providers an average of 25% per claim. However, AI can save up to 80% for providers with this new reliable technology. Artificial intelligence is easily trained to remain up to date with new needs, while medical staff may have limited experience or need time to become knowledgeable. Finally, there is no need to worry about human needs like employee burnout or turnover. Artificial intelligence can help alleviate workload and improve the quality of work amongst human staff.

There is no doubt that the future is bright for the insurance industry. Despite the current lack of modernity, there is hope in early developments of a more optimal alternative. While old methods may be inefficient, slow, inaccurate, and tedious, new technology has the power to move at greater speeds and with less error than ever before. Gone are the days of denied claims and costly mistakes, as the industry welcomes artificial intelligence as the new most important player in insurance processing.

An increasing number of consumers are turning to online marketplaces and stores to buy products, diverting attention and spending away from traditional retail operations. . As eCommerce sees tremendous growth and evolution, so too has another technological marvel: Artificial Intelligence (AI). With the rising competition driven by consumer demand, eCommerce sellers are increasingly turning to technology as a means of achieving growth. One particularly popular trend in this pursuit of enhanced operations and workflow efficiency is the integration of AI.

But to fully harness its potential, you’ll need to head back to basics: the 4Ps (product, price, place, promotion), also known as the marketing mix. Often introduced to marketers in a 101 college course, the four Ps provide a solid foundation on which plenty of brands, big and small, are built. Introduce AI, and some elements of the 4Ps take on a modern twist: Placement advertising, product content, promotion, and pricing. When AI is effectively integrated into these areas, it’s not just a tool—it’s a game-changer.

P1: Placement Advertising

Strategic placement means making your products available where it’s most relevant for potential consumers. In eCommerce, this typically refers to your website or storefront on marketplaces like Amazon and Walmart. Building off of this concept, we can augment placement through Facebook and Google ads, or Amazon ads for your Amazon store. In running ads on these platforms effectively, brands need data, plenty of time to mine through it, and a well-developed strategy to outpace their competitors. This is where AI proves invaluable, offering benefits such as:

  • Keyword harvesting. This lends a hand in effectively targeting customers looking for your products based on the terms they frequently use to find your products. AI is able to identify these terms and either fuel or throttle bids based on the ROI of a term and the business’ objective.
  • Bid optimization. On platforms where you bid for ad space, AI can bid with granularity by synthesizing your budget, the CPCs of a given keyword, and its conversion rate, alongside other relevant signals. By implementing AI, you can accelerate your A/B testing based on data points and insights impacting your brand in real-time.
  • Dayparting. One of many ancillary factors that might affect the efficiency of your ad is the time of day a user looks at your product. AI can support this by analyzing the days of the week and times of day your customer is more likely to convert a. Selling luxury sleep masks? You probably want to target those night owls and with AI you can let the data decide without granular human intervention.

P2: Product Content

A label with an upgrade: listings and product pages hold the information that potential buyers seek. They want comprehensive details: weight, size, materials, reviews, and compelling visuals that connect with the needs of customers. High-quality content shows buyers they can trust your brand even before buying. Manual content management means controlling your tone and style, two crucial parts of your product copy, but there are ways to go the extra mile for shoppers and search engines.

From an SEO perspective, AI can provide you with relevant keywords to include in the copy, titles, and tags. By analyzing your advertising data you can find the phrases that generate traffic and the ones that convert, with these insights in front of you, your AI can connect your products with searches to match the type of products customers are looking for.

Increasing the capabilities of your business, AI doesn’t get writer’s block. Brands with dozens of products can adjust their copy regularly with the few clicks of a button.

P3: Promotion

Promotions often intersect with deals and discounts in the eCommerce world: you utilize cut prices to entice users and fuel demand. Some marketplaces, like Amazon, magnify this approach with badges, filters, and specific pages for discounted products because they know it moves merchandise. But to take control of this ‘P’ in the marketing mix, it’s important to leverage your data and marketplace intelligence to drive informed decisions.

  1. Whether it involves clearance markdowns or general discounts, using AI to time your discounts can help move extra products.
  2. The same technology that integrates with your AI can help you focus on the right products when strategizing promotions. Whether you’re coming up on an inventory deadline or you want to lean into one of your best sellers promotions can significantly bolster revenue growth.
  3. Combining these concepts together, AI can provide predictive analytics for campaign performance by way of discounts.
  4. Using this data, you can better plan for new launches and high-volume shopping seasons.

P4: Pricing

In a spending-conscious society where consumers are constantly hunting for the best deal, pricing can win over all other factors. Competitive pricing is an ideal way to curb this, but manual monitoring and adjustment can be tedious and untimely; by the time you update your price, your competitors have already changed the benchmark. Leveraging AI, your price becomes a moving piece instead of stagnant data. Placing real-time competitor price tracking on your most staunched rivals or by using algorithmic pricing adjustments that leverage market demand, AI can help you to remain profitable. By using AI to support your pricing strategies, not only can you find more profitable price points but you save yourself from the effort necessary to keep up in highly competitive marketplaces like Amazon or Walmart.

Leveraging the 4Ps

Each of the four Ps provides a framework for marketing, but they also fuel each other and expand overall profitability. In many ways, you can’t focus on one without coming up with ideas for another. That’s why a holistic AI approach is crucial; not only does it meet basic needs, it can integrate data across streams to drive decisions that meet customer needs and expectations, resulting in higher sales.

Imagine a brand named Greenlife EcoGear, which specializes in sustainable outdoor products and items. Let’s examine how the four Ps of the company can be enhanced through an AI lens:

  • Placement advertising: Thanks to AI, this brand has discovered people tend to search for their product niche on Monday mornings, Wednesdays around lunchtime, and Sundays in the afternoon. Using this data, they strategically optimized their bids for these times.
  • Product content: After developing outdoor gear that resonates with its audience, Greenlife EcoGear wants to improve organic sales and conversion rates. The system pulls and synthesizes data from their search term reports, to inform AI of the type of copy that gets ranked and converts users.
  • Promotion: EcoGear’s marketing strategy revolves around generating brand awareness through loss-leaders. As a first step, AI reviews their historical data on promotions, highlighting that if they apply a 15% discount on an introductory product they can increase sales by 50%. By fuelling this growth, they can generate brand awareness and leverage it to create high-margin repeat customers.
  • Pricing: Using AI-powered dynamic pricing algorithms, Greenlife EcoGear offers 5% below their rival’s price, further generating market demand. They position themselves as a reasonable alternative to big brands and see more sales because of it.

Future Trends in AI for eCommerce Success

AI is a viable solution for eCommerce sellers as it integrates nicely with the data and input provided by these ecosystems. With constant innovations, the adoption of this technology has proven to be a strong influence on the momentum of brands. Taking large amounts of data and distilling it into usable information across the 4Ps is one way brands can use AI to solidify their bottom-line.

In the future, expect this to become a larger transformation for online brands as companies look to further integrate functions like the supply chain management, product research, and customer service with their 4Ps.Adaptability as an eCommerce brand will become your strongest skill those who embrace and adopt advancements will pull ahead through enhanced operations and workflow efficiency.

Conclusion

Marketing is an ongoing process; while the four Ps provide structure, the hard truth is keeping up with them and being successful takes a lot of time and effort which online brands don’t have a lot to spare. With AI, your company can be streamlined and adopt marketing insights that might not have been discovered without it. In an increasingly competitive landscape, AI doesn’t guarantee success but certainly can bring you closer to it, depending on how you use it. Whether you’ve already adopted some AI practices or are searching for solutions with fresh eyes, exploring where and how you can use AI to help you strategize can help you move the needle.

  • 67% of business leaders would trust AI to drive their company vehicles
  • 70% of respondents think AI self-driving company vehicles could complete business transportation tasks more efficiently than human drivers
  • 50% of respondents are considering replacing human-driven company vehicles with AI self-driving vehicles
  • New survey data from leading business technology authority Tech.co has revealed that 67% of business leaders would trust AI to drive their company vehicles

In addition, half of business leaders (50%) are even considering replacing their current human-driven company vehicles with AI-powered self-driving vehicles

Subtle use of AI technology is already being implemented to enhance business transportation. For example, all of the best route planning software uses some form of AI to power routing. Despite this, the use of artificial intelligence in US commercial vehicles is yet to be fully realized, and continues to face legal concerns. However, Tech.co’s new data reveals that the majority of surveyed business managers are keen to embrace self-driving company vehicles, especially due to their efficiency-enhancing benefits.

70% of respondents think that AI self-driving company vehicles could complete business transportation tasks more efficiently than human drivers. It’s easy to see the appeal, considering an artificial intelligence that can drive a vehicle avoids all the complications experienced by a human driver – whether that be low visibility during nighttime driving, or requiring legally mandated time off driving to rest.

AI is accelerating into the future of company vehicles — or at least according to the 73% of respondents who say they believe self-driving company vehicles will grow in popularity over the next five years.

Tech.co’s Fleet Expert, Adam Rowe, comments: “Many commercial fleets in the United States are still struggling to replace their vehicles due in part to years of supply chain disruptions. This new survey indicates they are more than open to making those overdue investments into self-driving vehicles. The big question that remains: Can AI advance fast enough within the next few years to actually make self-driving trucks fully safe for public roads across America?”

Regardless of AI’s increased efficiency, no corners should be cut when it comes to roadside safety. 83% of business leaders Tech.co polled think that clear AI regulation needs to be established for AI-powered company vehicles.

Lawmakers are already laying out regulations surrounding the use of self-driving commercial fleets on public roads. A bill passed the California Senate this month to require the presence of a human safety operator for each self-driving truck operating in the state. That’s effectively a ban on self-driving trucks across the nation’s most populated state. But this bill was later vetoed by California Governor Gavin Newsom. We are yet to see if full automation can arrive for company vehicles across the US, but Tech.co’s survey findings make one development clear: if self-driving company vehicles do reach the market, business leaders are likely to be ready and waiting with open checkbooks.

Small businesses (SMBs) such as GA4 consultant and SEO Calgary are a busy bunch. On any given day, they might be fulfilling orders, engaging with customers in-person, managing staff, doing their books — plus dozens of other tasks. Most would relish an opportunity to gain back an extra hour, or save some extra money.

Luckily, those goals (and others) are attainable thanks to artificial intelligence (AI) and marketing automation. These technologies can help small businesses work more efficiently, drive more sales, and improve the ways they are marketing themselves – without making it more of a headache or a time suck.

We recently published a report at Constant Contact called, Small Business Now: An AI Awakening, that outlines how SMBs are thinking about AI and automation, and some of the results that early adopters are seeing. With insights from nearly 500 small businesses across the U.S., the study reveals how these technologies can enhance marketing effectiveness and help SMBs save time and money.

If you’re curious about how AI can impact your business, here are the 10 stats about AI that you should know.

    1. Challenge Accepted: 60% of SMBs say their biggest challenge is attracting new customers, while 39% say it’s marketing to their target audience.
    2. Peaked Interest: 74% are interested in using AI or automation in their business, and 55% reported that their interest in using these technologies grew in the first half of 2023.
    3. Off to the Races: 26% are already using AI or automation, and the top use cases are social media (52%), generative content creation (44%) and email marketing (41%).
    4. Proven Success: 91% of the small businesses polled say AI has helped make their businesses more successful.
    5. Reaping the Benefits: 60% of small businesses that currently use AI or automation in their marketing say they have saved time and are working more efficiently.
    6. First step, Social Media: SMBs say the easiest places to start leveraging AI technology are social media, content creation, and analytics.
    7. Financial Gains: 28% of SMBs expect AI and/or automation to save them at least $5,000 in the next year.
    8. Increasing Efficiency: 33% of small businesses estimate they have saved more than 40 minutes per week on marketing by using AI or automation.
    9. Top Concern: 44% of small businesses noted data security as their top hesitation about using AI.
    10. Value Recognition: The more SMBs use AI, the more they value it.70% of SMBs would be willing to pay more to access AI and automation.

So, what do all these stats mean? I’m glad you asked.

AI is here to stay. The small businesses who are currently using tools powered by AI overwhelmingly agree that it is making their businesses more successful. They are working more efficiently, saving money, improving customer experiences, and growing quicker.

So, if you’re an SMB who is either starved for more time in your week, or you want to improve the way you engage with your customers without adding extra marketing work to your plate, don’t write off AI as a passing trend. Give it a try and you might be surprised about the results you see.

With the rise of artificial intelligence, entrepreneurs have been able to revolutionize how they operate and grow their businesses. One of the most substantial contributions has been various machine learning applications. Implementing machine learning allows entrepreneurs to compete with successful organizations without incurring high costs, make better business decisions, enhance productivity levels, and much more, ultimately leading to higher growth.

When used right, machine learning algorithms can empower entrepreneurs to achieve a competitive edge over both large and small businesses such as phone repair Calgary, SEO Calgary, and hotel SEO. In my experience as the founder of the 88stacks AI image generator (which provides easy-to-use and affordable tools to democratize access to generative modelling and images), I have discovered many ways entrepreneurs can leverage machine learning for business growth. Here are 6 of them:

    1. Personalized Customer Experience

Business leaders can utilize machine learning algorithms to instantly analyze customer data and behavior. This is essential for an entrepreneur, because if they better understand their customers’ needs and preferences, they will be able to tailor their experiences accordingly. This ultimately leads to a much more impactful, data-driven approach to personalizing buyer experiences and marketing campaigns that amplify customer satisfaction and brand loyalty.

It is vital to integrate personalization across all customer touch points, including social media advertisements, email blasts, and Google Ads. This will ensure that the customer experience is consistent and tailored specifically to each buyer’s needs across all channels. Customers are more likely to stay loyal to any business that provides a personalized experience and truly understands their preferences — personalization can significantly improve brand engagement.

Think about it — a stay-at-home mom and the CEO of a major international corporation may both be in the market for the same product. Machine learning can be used to tailor online advertisements about the product so they better resonate with these two individuals. The ad that the mom sees can show a family using the product in the home, and the ad the CEO sees can show the product being used in an office space.

    2. Predictive Analytics

Predictive analytics uses machine learning algorithms to identify the probability of future outcomes based on historical data. Through analyzing customer behavior data like past purchases, the current state of the market, and potential trends (for example, the upcoming holiday shopping season), predictive analytics backed by machine learning helps entrepreneurs understand customers’ preferences and the demands of prospective buyers.

Business leaders can leverage this to forecast new trends, customer demands, and potential business opportunities. This leads to more flexible decision-making and strategies and helps to increase overall profits.

    3. Fraud Detection & Risk Management

Fraud and data breaches can cause a mass of customers to lose their trust in a company and decide to give their future business elsewhere. Thus, when it comes to fraud detection and risk management, business leaders need quick and accurate results. The amount of time spent manually scanning and reviewing information can be drastically reduced by machine learning. Entrepreneurs can implement machine learning models to detect fraudulent activities, mitigate risks, and enhance the security of financial transactions and sensitive data.

Using machine learning for fraud detection is like having several teams running analysis on hundreds of thousands of transactions per second. Machine learning models can often be more effective than humans at uncovering subtle trends and patterns. These models are also very fast to adapt to changes and can identify both suspicious customers and fraudulent transaction patterns. Fraud and security attacks can also happen 24/7, and machine learning algorithms don’t need breaks or sleep. On top of this, entrepreneurs don’t have to worry about any human error that could potentially occur from manually checking data.

    4. Process Automation

There is no doubt that process automation is key for startups to excel and grow. Automating repetitive tasks and workflows using machine learning allows valuable time and resources to be focused on more strategic aspects of the business (like new client prospecting). Automating business processes reduces costs and human error, improves efficiency, and delivers a higher quality of work. Machine learning can help entrepreneurs create automated systems that perform repetitive and standardized tasks, like data entry or sending email check-ins to client leads, all while providing reliable and accurate results.

These automated systems can process massive amounts of data quickly and efficiently, all while adapting to any changes in business activities. Employing machine learning for automation lets startups streamline operations and workflows, all while improving the flexibility of automated processes.

    5. Sentiment Analysis and Customer Feedback

It is pivotal for startups to constantly look for ways to grow and improve, and customer feedback provides valuable insights into what is working and what isn’t. Through conducting sentiment analysis and examining customer feedback, startups can gain insights into what buyers like and dislike about their business. That said, entrepreneurs can apply machine learning to sort through and analyze thousands of customer reviews and feedback across various channels in a matter of seconds.

This helps company leaders identify areas for improvement and make better business decisions that lead to product/service  improvements, customer service enhancements, and brand reputation management.

    6. Supply Chain Optimization

Machine learning algorithms can analyze vast amounts of complex real-time and historical data and use the findings to generate highly accurate demand forecasts, ultimately enhancing supply chain management. Entrepreneurs can use machine learning algorithms to optimize inventory management, logistics, and supply chain operations. Also, machine learning can significantly shorten lead times and allow startups to be more responsive to market changes.

This all helps reduce costs and improve overall efficiency in the delivery of products and services. Machine learning-driven supply chain optimization enables companies to provide a more responsive service, resulting in higher customer satisfaction. Entrepreneurs can also leverage advanced analytics to identify opportunities, trends, and patterns for improvement that lead to increased profitability and better business processes.

    To Wrap It All Up

Artificial intelligence and machine learning have revolutionized how businesses in virtually every industry operate. Entrepreneurs can use machine learning algorithms to personalize customer experiences, amplify risk detection and fraud management, automate business processes, analyze customer feedback and sentiments, conduct predictive analysis, and optimize supply chains. These are just a few ways that business leaders can employ machine learning to gain a competitive edge, increase productivity, reduce costs, and boost customer satisfaction and profits.

New to the job market? Looking for your next gig after years at your most recent role? Or maybe you’re happy in your current position, yet you’re still open to other interesting opportunities and wouldn’t mind if a recruiter got in touch.

Here’s something you need to know: These days, there’s almost always a robotic gatekeeper standing between your resume and an actual human’s eyeballs.

First, there’s the applicant tracking system, or ATS. It’s a type of software that recruiters and organizations use to manage and streamline the screening and hiring processes. These platforms typically use machine learning and artificial intelligence to quickly scan candidates’ submissions and identify prospects who align with specific job criteria. Recruiters also dip into their ATS to review past job applicants when new roles open up within an organization.

Then, there are various kinds of digital screening and sourcing tools that outbound recruiters use to find you wherever you are online, whether that’s LinkedIn, other social media platforms, career sites like Monster and Indeed, industry-specific destinations like GitHub and Medium, or elsewhere. As the job market evolves, recruiters are leaning more heavily into outbound approaches to find candidates, rather than simply waiting for talent to come to them through a traditional application process. They often use technology-driven solutions like RecruitBot to automate this outreach and sort through the endless collection of resumes, profiles, and assorted data points across the internet (and within their internal ATS).

Whether you’re hoping to get your resume past an ATS or catch the eye of an outbound recruiter, it’s more important than ever to optimize the information you share about your skills and experience. Here are five things to keep in mind as you refine your resume or profile:

    1. Use keywords that are relevant to the job you’re applying for or want to be recruited for. When you browse through job descriptions that appeal to you, what are the skills, credentials, titles, and terms that show up over and over again? Call these out explicitly in your resume or profile so the ATS or sourcing software will understand that you’re an ideal match. Each time you apply for a different role, tailor your resume to mirror key language from the posting.
    1. Keep your information up to date. Even if you’re not actively looking right now, refresh your online career profiles with keywords that capture your latest achievements, training experiences, and areas of expertise. And always, always make sure your contact details are current so recruiters can get in touch. If you are looking, refresh often; most systems prioritize candidates that have changed their data recently.  (Remember that they may reach out via social media instead of email or phone, so you’ll want to check those inboxes regularly and tweak your settings to receive alerts about new messages.)
    1. Format your resume in a simple, easy-to-read manner, using a clear, professional font and font size. Fancy graphics, special formatting, and ornate text styles can confuse the sourcing systems and ATSes. If you’re applying for a job, always submit the file type specified in the posting, such as a Word document or PDF. Avoid putting critical information in headers, footers, or tables, since an ATS can miss them entirely.
    1. Use organizing techniques like bullet points and chronological order to list educational achievements, professional credentials, and job history. This helps ensure that the ATS or outbound recruiting tool doesn’t inadvertently convert your neat and tidy profile into incomprehensible blocks of text.
    1. Remember that it’s not just about the automated tool or ATS! If your application, resume, or profile makes it through the initial screening technology, a real person will eventually read the information you share. Focus on crafting a compelling and genuine narrative to help ensure your success when you get to that stage. Because at the end of the day, most humans appreciate good stories more than robots do.

Try out these simple tips now to increase your chances of making a meaningful connection with your next employer.

From financial markets to Hollywood, businesses are swarming to capitalize on AI’s potential. Bill Gates asserts that AI is “every bit as important as the PC, as the internet.”1 Companies like Expedia, Microsoft, Duolingo, Slack, and Freshworks have integrated ChatGPT to help streamline the customer experience, reduce coders’ workload, and assist with marketing.2 Amid this frenzy, Derek Chew, CEO of Fullmoon Digital, reminds business owners to keep a level head and stay purposeful in their adoption approach.

Chew clarifies, “So, it’s not necessarily ‘What’s the next big thing?’ It’s how do we, in a healthy and successful way, integrate AI without losing the human touch?”

AI has existed in different forms for decades but only recently became accessible to small businesses.3 While the future potential of AI is unknown, the current reality is it provides innovative help in straightforward ways.4 However, anyone paying attention to the hype might view it as the ultimate solution.

Generative AI technologies like ChatGPT appear intelligent because they integrate natural language processing and machine learning. They have remarkable conversational and predictive capabilities but only reliably add value to businesses when tied to a concrete operational objective.4 They are a tool in the hands of humans, not in replacement of them.

The best way for businesses to capitalize on the power of AI is by applying a uniquely human capacity — creativity.5 Methodologies, practices, and policies that encourage people to be creative allow organizations to leverage the power of AI while staying connected to our humanity, the true source of innovation, connection, and advancement.

While AI easily outperforms humans on mundane, repetitive tasks, it cannot function without human input. Two salient examples include self-driving cars, which can out-skill many human drivers until the autopilot’s machine learning encounters a scenario beyond its programming, at which point a human must take over. And in 2019, Facebook and other platforms had to bring in humans to mitigate their AI algorithms used to drive engagement. The technology was outstanding at recommending content according to user preferences. However, without understanding the larger socio-political context, it escalated political divisiveness.6

AI is a powerful potential marketing tool to help businesses understand customer pain points and needs, personalize communication and product recommendations, target the right audience, and predict consumer behavior. It can convert massive amounts of data into actionable insights.

But it will only achieve its potential in the hands of people with expertise and vision. AI’s inability to self-correct programmed bias and insensitivity and to understand cultural nuances poses significant potential problems for firms that try substituting AI for practical knowledge and understanding.7

Chew explains, “Many companies are just diving into AI without knowing what it is, the repercussions, or what it’s going to do. It’s just wanting to be a part of the next big thing, even if they don’t really want to be a part of it. It’s like cultural peer pressure.”

AI marketing hurdles, such as high implementation costs, a loss of human touch, and data privacy concerns,8 can plague firms that jump in too fast and hard.

An essential component of successful marketing is emotion, and while AI can mimic human content, it doesn’t have the creative spark to touch the heart of customers. To use AI in marketing successfully requires understanding its limitations and potential pitfalls.

While AI can profit from marketing expertise and knowledge, it does not replace it. As a digital agency focused on measurable results and dedicated to client relationships, Fullmoon Digital delivers tailored, evolving solutions. Chew affirms, “The AI algorithm is only as good as the people who use it, and it doesn’t account for everyone’s experience. So, now we’re building tools that just separate us even further. It’s putting more screens between us. AI still needs innovative thinkers and creative problem solvers. There’s still that human knowledge base that you need to successfully run a business and create a brand, which is something that Fullmoon Digital does well.”

Providing top-notch customer service is essential for amplifying customer retention, repeat sales, and overall business growth. Are you looking for new ways to optimize your company’s customer service department? You may not even realize it, but artificial intelligence may be the key ingredient missing from various customer service initiatives. While you may have already implemented an AI chatbot on your website to answer visitors’ questions (which expedites the buyer journey), there are many other ways AI can improve your customer service.

When you don’t automate as many customer service tasks as you can with AI, you are only preventing yourself from maximizing business success. In my journey as the owner of Kairos Venture Studios, which specializes in launching new online businesses in the Latin American market, I have discovered these 5 often overlooked ways to use AI to improve customer service:

    1. Evaluating Customer Support Employees

Do you have Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for your customer support team? For example, do you have SOPs related to the number of customer support tickets to be handled in a day, email greetings, and how steps are written out when helping customers with issues? Or, do you ask that customer support agents reply to all email inquiries within 2 hours of receipt during business hours? These SOPs are pivotal for streamlining communications and preventing further customer frustration that could ultimately lead to a loss of future sales.

Therefore, it would be in your best interest to verify that your customer support agents abide by your designated SOPs. AI is here to help! You can pass all support team emails through AI applications like Smartwriter.ai to judge how well they hold up to your company’s SOPs and values. You can also use AI software like TimeToReply to analyze average response time to email inquiries. If there are any discrepancies, you can further train your customer support agents so they can provide the best service possible.

    2. Streamlining Customer Follow-Ups

Regular, consistent follow ups are key for boosting repeat sales with your current buyers and landing new customers. The problem is that manually sending out weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly email follow-ups to your entire customer list can take so much time and effort. So let AI handle it! An automatic email follow-up tool like Mixmax can help businesses better check in with current and potential buyers to keep leads warm and increase customer retention. This is paramount for amplifying sales and growing the customer base.

    3. Customizing Every Step of the Customer Experience

Your customer base may comprise of all kinds of demographics, all with varying needs and interests. For example, a Fortune 500 CEO may regularly buy your products for their corporation, and a stay-at-home mom might purchase the same items for their home. Also, Baby Boomers and Gen Zers may both purchase your services, but they are at different stages in life and have varying tastes. So why use the same marketing strategy for all of them?

AI can help customize the entire experience each of your customers has. For example, you can use AI software like Klaviyo to personalize email blasts for the various demographics in your customer list. An AI tool like Unbounce can also select the exact page a potential customer will open on your website. AI algorithms can even analyze customer data like past purchases and browsing behavior, and then recommend certain products that align with their various preferences. Providing tailored experiences can help boost new sales and repeat purchases.

    4. Sending Out Post-Purchase Questionnaires to Customers

Customer feedback can help businesses improve existing products and services, pinpoint new demographics to target, and better the enterprise’s overall operations. However, it can be difficult to find the time to come up with an effective questionnaire for customers (and then figure out when to send it). Luckily, AI software like Qualtrics can be used to periodically send out questionnaires to customers to get their valuable feedback. Remember, when customers know that you care about their experience, they will be more likely to buy again from your business.

    5. Analyzing Data to Identify Customer Pain Points

Going off of the last point, it can be a really time-consuming process to read through every customer questionnaire to find common complaints and suggestions. However, it is important to do so, as you may be completely unaware of an issue that many of your customers are experiencing. An AI tool like Idiomatic can help companies pinpoint customer pain points based on large data sets (like years of reviews or customer feedback). This will help businesses improve their offerings and fuel brand loyalty.

    To Wrap It All Up

Artificial intelligence is revolutionizing businesses in virtually every industry. There are many AI tools available that will help you improve your customer service, which is pivotal for business growth and success. For example, you can use AI to evaluate your customer support employees, streamline customer follow-ups, and send out post-purchase questionnaires to your current buyers. AI software can even customize the entire customer experience! Follow any of the tips above to improve your customer service and bring your enterprise to new heights.
